QUARANFEELINGS is a 60-artwork series exploring experiences, thoughts, and emotions during the government-mandated quarantine, curfews, and lockdowns during the pandemic in 2020. This series aims to process bits and pieces of 2020 and enable us to love ourselves this 2021 and beyond.

Share your story in exchange for art.

At the end of the project, 25 pieces will be selected to be printed and delivered to

their respective story owners via mail.

The said story owners will have the option to remotely send the physical artwork to

someone special.

how it started

I’ve come up with this idea in September 2020. It was a typical day at home -- staying inside yet too fearful to go out often.

I was sick of the drastic lifestyle changes that resulted in less physical touch and connection with other people.

My pressured self told me “Now that I have the time to confront my feelings, there are no more excuses.

I should be able to at least write them to get them out of my head.” And so I did.

Then, I wrote down “I don’t know what to feel. Is that okay?” in my journal.

I had this experimental artwork and placed the written words on it and I felt like the loose strings

were tightened. This resonated a lot with friends and strangers.

In my mind, I’m wondering, “what are those ideas, thoughts, and feelings that we keep hidden and unprocessed?”

With mixed feelings, I’m writing this on the anniversary of the pandemic.

Wishing that my art will be a tool to love you and to process this time.

Hoping that everyone is staying safe and sane.
