Visual Artist and Fashion Designer, Clarisse Provido creates resonating art — portraits and images that reflect humanity while beautifying vulnerability and showing strength in adversity. Her work often displays the juxtaposition of elements from nature in unusual compositions. She uses watercolor, mixed media art, and natural textiles as her mediums for visual storytelling.
In 2018, she founded the lifestyle and design brand, Clarisse The Label, in Manila, Philippines and has worked with artisans and craftsmen on local natural textiles to create debut collection “The Cling Bag Collection” - inspired and designed by nature while pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
In 2019, she continues to make visual art, wearable art and various commercial client work while championing the value of creativity, expression, innovation and sustainability.
Born in Manila, Philippines, she grew up with a penchant for drawing on newspaper, Ylaya St. fabric markets and meaningful conversations with other locals. Her childhood has been full of memories of watching her grandmother’s afternoon routine of crochet, embroidery and playing the piano.
